London, 9th August 2025. Defend our Juries called for a mass civil disobedience in Parliament Square against the government’s proscription of Palestine Action. More than 1,000 people occupied the square and took part in a silent vigil holding placards. The Metropolitan Police warned that anyone taking part would be arrested under anti-terrorism legislation. There were 521 arrests, the largest single mass arrest by the Metropolitan Police.
